V intencích stejnojmenného textu Ernsta Jüngera představuje chůze lesem metaforické vyjádření vzdoru vůči rostoucí technologické a politické totalitarizaci moderní společnosti. Lesní chodec je připraven vzepřít se automatismu současné civilizace, jejím mocenským nástrojům i technickým inovacím, které vedou k zpohodlnění a v konečném důsledku i ztrátě svobody volby. Týž status přijímá i osm autorů a autorek, kteří namísto přímé, předem vytyčené cesty, dávají prostor bloudění a pochybám, jakožto nezbytnému předpokladu nepředpojaté mysli.

In the book of the same name by Ernst Jünger, the forest passage, i.e. a walk through the woods, is a metaphorical expression of defiance against the ever-increasing technological and political totalitarianisation of modern society. The forest walker is ready to resist the automatisation of contemporary civilisation, its instruments of power and its technical innovations that lead to complacency and ultimately the loss of freedom of choice. The same status is adopted by the eight artists, who, instead of a direct, predetermined path, allow room for wandering and doubt as a prerequisite for an unprejudiced mind.
