Tomáš Kurečka: Zapomenutá liška/Forgotten fox (16. 5. – 14. 6. 2024)
kurátor: Maximilian Colloredo-Mansfeld

Entering Tomas Kurecka’s realm feels akin to stepping into a distant childhood dream. Between the realms of reality, dreams and myths lies a strong sense of nostalgia, intertwined with the raw and unsettling aspects of childhood and stories. Through Kurecka’s profound exploration of his relationship with nature, history, and storytelling he invites us to revisit the fragments of our own past, from moments of terror to the sublime.

Tomas Kurecka invites us into his world; inspired by places where fantastical beings and phenomena emerge amidst romantic landscapes. Through paintings steeped in mysticism and fleeting landscapes, Kurecka offers us a glimpse into his rich universe.

„For me, walking is a means of experiencing and escaping. This exhibition is a journey through my mind—a narrative where past intertwines with present. There’s a lesson woven into every myth, and the interplay of trust and betrayal captivates me. I’m intrigued by how myths and history evolve over time, yet some stories fade away, much like a sly fox.“
