Venus Today

Studio Bubec cordially invites you to the 40th annual Art Safari, this time with the theme Venus Today! In 2025, we commemorate one hundred years since the discovery of the Venus of Willendorf – a 29,000-year-old Paleolithic sculpture. This figurine is considered the oldest known ceramic artifact in the world, and is influential in understanding the beginnings of artistic creation as well as the portrayal of the female body and feminine principle in general. Exhibiting artists include Erika Bornová, U. S. Buchart, Tomáš Císařovský, Jolana Havelková, and more. Art Safari will also feature a mini exhibition at the Dejvická Gallery showcasing works by students from the Ladislav Sutnar Faculty of Design and Art in Pilsen. The exhibition will run until May 25, 2025.
