The XY project, which was created in 2015 as a joint initiative of curators from Olomouc, offers exhibition hosting to authors from a selected artistic environment all on the same opening date. The travelling show has the character of a series of successive vernissages of contemporary art, all connected by a walk – the whole event takes place in one afternoon in the centre of Olomouc. Individual exhibitions then continue, the duration depending on the requirements of the galleries. The curators of the selected galleries have been representing the independent art scene in Olomouc for a long time, and within the framework of the XY show, they address professional as well as wide audience.
The 11th year of the walk is focused on artists associated with Budapest.
