Jan Uličný se v současné době věnuje tvorbě figurek. Jeho manekýnci oblékají zpravidla zvláštní šaty a jsou oproti předchůdcům deprivovanější a trochu více se mračí. Tvorba Jana Uličného, kterou tato výstava zastupuje průřezem, je velmi rozmanitá. Výstava představuje aktuální část Uličného prací v konfrontaci s cizími, ale tématicky soudružnými prvky. Divák tak může zahlédnout autorovo dílo. Jako celek je výstava koncipována tak, aby představila ty nejniternější a jemné nuance, kterých autor skrze své dílo není sám schopen.
Autor sám diváka uráží, ale trochu si ho i váží. Bravůra a lehkost zkratky v zobrazení smutku, rezignovaného vzteku, zaobalené a přebalené zloby je nebývalá. Jan je mistrem tvorby postav a jejich příběhů, tvorby jejich charakterů. Je to dramatik, malující spisovatel―jako Čapek. Když už má člověk tu trpělivost se na to koukat, tak v sobě může objevit i opici. Opici řídící, empatickou a modlící se k ovzduší, které sama vydýchala. Výstava má za cíl představit Uličného tvorbu jako přísně narýsované souhvězdí.
Případně jako síť loutek, které hrají svoje role.

Jan Uličný is currently dedicated to the creation of figurines. His mannequins usually dress in strange clothes and, compared to their predecessors, are more deprived and frown a bit more. Jan Uličný’s work, which this exhibition represents through a cross-section, is very diverse. The exhibition presents the current part of Uličný’s works in confrontation with foreign, but thematically cohesive elements. The viewer can thus catch a glimpse of the author’s work. As a whole, the exhibition is conceptualized so as to present those most innermost and delicate nuances of which the author himself is not capable through his work.
The author himself insults the viewer but also respects him a little. The bravura and lightness of shorthand in the depiction of sadness, resigned anger, enveloped and repackaged malice is unprecedented. Jan is a master of the creation of characters and their stories, the creation of their personalities. He is a playwright, a painting writer―like Čapek. When a person finally has the patience to look at it, they can also discover an ape inside themselves. A managing, empathetic ape praying to the atmosphere that it has exhaled itself. The exhibition aims to present Uličný’s work as a strictly drafted constellation. Alternatively, as a network of puppets that play their roles.
