this collaborative effort between Skronk’ and Sonic Liberations
programming, the format of this event will be presented in an
improvisational manner, allowing all the artists listed the liberty to
explore what formations and opportunities can arise from this

Almeida (Lisbon, 1978) is a Portuguese double bass player and composer
based in Rotterdam, the Netherlands. With a strong interdisciplinary and
collaborative approach to his work, Gonçalo plays in a variety of
projects that go from modern jazz, free-jazz, jazzcore and free
improvisation music with bands such as Hydra Ensemble, Lama Trio,
Albatre, The Attic and member of Spinifex, The Selva and Luis Vicente

is a deceptively simple art form. Consisting of a handful of syllables,
three lines and plainly direct language, these poems when successful
imply an entire macrocosm in the microcosmic observation of detail. By
the same token the improvising duo Haiku—Stefano Giust (drums and
cymbals) and Paolo Pascolo (flute, bass flute, tenor sax,
electronics)—take the smallest ensemble format and leverage it to

the field of classical and modern music, have been playing together
since 2008, their first joint performance took place in 2009.When
playing together they use string instruments: viola and violin –
acoustic and amplified, randomly re-tuned, with swapped strings, etc. At
this concert they will play a seven-string electric violin and the

Chojnacki is an accordion/live electronics player and improviser whose
music is striking and highly unconventional. The most important aspect
of his work is dialogue and encounters with other people. He takes any
form that emits a sound and uses it to make contact with people, being
inspired by elements that are not often directly related to music. His
improvisations pulsate back and forth between ambient, noise, drone,
