Pragovka Gallery vás srdečně zve na performativní přednášku Andreas Philippopoulos-Mihalopoulos: A Contract Unto Hydrojustice / Hydra: The Contract, která proběhne 10.července od 16:00 v rámci programu Summer School – Becoming an Octopus.
„Hydra: The Contract“ je imerzivní performativní situace, v níž jsou diváci zváni vstoupit do spekulativního kontraktu mezi těly vody. Performance má podobu privátní liturgie, která propojuje všechny přítomné mezi sebou i s vodními tělesy, ke kterým jako lidé patříme. Událost je uvedena performativním čtením a následována diskuzí. Vychází z autorovy nedávné knihy Hydrojustice (Cambridge: Polity, 2025).
Andreas Philippopoulos-Mihalopoulos je umělec / akademik / autor fikce. Ve své praxi propojuje performance, právní teorii, ekologickou pedagogiku, spatial justice, video art, instalaci, hydrotheorii a další formy mezioborového výzkumu. Působí jako profesor práva a teorie na University of Westminster a ředitel Westminster Law & Theory Lab. Je autorem řady odborných i fikčních knih, mimo jiné Hydrojustice (2025), Spatial Justice: Body Lawscape Atmosphere (2014) či románu Our Distance Became Water (2023). Jeho práce byla prezentována například v Palais de Tokyo, na Benátském bienále či v Tate Modern.

Pragovka Gallery warmly invites you to a performative event by Andreas Philippopoulos-Mihalopoulos: A Contract Unto Hydrojustice / Hydra: The Contract, taking place 10th of June at 16:00 within the Summer School program.
“Hydra: The Contract” is an immersive performative situation in which the audience is invited to enter a speculative contract among bodies of water. The performance takes the form of a private liturgy, connecting those present to one another and to the bodies of water to which we all belong. The event is preceded by a performative reading and followed by a discussion. It is based on the artist’s recent book Hydrojustice (Cambridge: Polity, 2025).
Andreas Philippopoulos-Mihalopoulos is an artist / academic / fiction writer whose practice spans performance, legal theory, ecological pedagogy, spatial justice, video art, installation, hydrotheory, and more. He is Professor of Law & Theory at the University of Westminster and Director of the Westminster Law & Theory Lab. His work has been shown internationally, including at Palais de Tokyo, the Venice Biennale, and Tate Modern.
