ZRUŠENO/CANCELLED [SKRONK‘]: Doskocz / Kostkiewicz / Strzał w Kolano

Three guitars, three soloists in an endless dialogue with their instruments. Like most guitarists, before they began to challenge the expressive possibilities of the guitar, they used them. After the phase of the instrumentalist tuning to the instrument, it was time to reverse the relationship (if only to give it a second life).Common to all three is the idea that playing is not about dominating the instrument, but about recognizing its physicality. They also share a search for new articulations and sound preparations, but their purpose is different. In Doskocz’s and Kostkiewicz’s improvisations, sound events open the way to further events, while in Strzał w Kolano’s compositions, they serve more as a non-binding building block.The formula of three solo performances suggests that a higher-order relationship may develop between them, and thus the dialogues will begin to trialogue with each other. By day he contributes to the post-punk band Atol Atol. Outside of bands, he gives vent to his fascination with concrete, electroacoustic and improvised music. He seeks articulations that flow from limitations, from imperfections in performance and recording.
